Thanks so much again!" ~Sheena Byers (Founder, Good Girls Rock)

"My name is Devona Keel. I just wanted to write to you and tell you how truly inspiring The Single Mothers Symposium was for me. Last week, I woke up feeling in over my head. I am the parent of a three year old active little boy. I love him so much but I am here in Charlotte without my family and the majority of my friends do not have children. The symposium was a way for me to feel included and not so alone in this journey. I can't express completely in words the impact it had and I thank you and T.I.M.E for hosting it. When I found out I was pregnant, I was in my senior year at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte and I remember feeling like everyone was looking at me as just another babymomma. I remember getting the whispers and stares and feeling ashamed somewhat. I did finish and received my degree in Communications. What I realized was that, throughout my entire undergraduate career, I had never felt more focused and determined and I have my son to thank for that. Everything was very informative but the panel was my favorite. I recently had to resign from my job due to lack of childcare and to just see all the women and how far they have came while juggling careers touched my heart and it was confirmation that the storm doesn't last always. I am already looking forward to next years event and/or other events throughout the year. I am willing and available to help on any future events. Please tell me where or what I need to do to get involved. Thank you again." ~Devona Keel (Single Mother)
